Local PDF merge test report

This report covers the separate Editaha PDF merger, not the PdfCraft WASM editor. Self-authored fixtures are used to check downloaded page order, page count, dimensions and rotation, plus rejection of unsupported inputs. The test date and exact results appear below.

pdf-lib 1.17.1 / Editaha local merger

Local browser run on 21 October 2026. Chromium, Firefox and Playwright WebKit were tested; WebKit is not native Safari certification. Self-authored fixtures only. Network checks looked for PDF signatures and synthetic markers in request bodies and URLs, not a claim of zero website telemetry.

How the test works

The browser selects local synthetic PDFs and runs the same Web Worker used by the public tool. The downloaded result is reopened with an independent parser. Input and output SHA-256 fingerprints identify the reviewed fixtures. Successful export alone is not treated as sufficient evidence.

Privacy boundary

The files are processed in the browser. The test inspects outbound request bodies and URLs for fixture bytes and markers; it does not upload private documents. The surrounding website can still request assets and send usage analytics in production. This is not an offline-site or zero-telemetry claim.

Scope and limitations

The tool accepts 2–20 PDFs, up to 50 MiB and 200 pages in total. Encrypted PDFs are rejected. It is not intended to preserve forms, bookmarks or digital signatures; executable actions and attachments are stripped. Compare the exported document before using it as your only copy.
